Envision Series - Bid Management

The Bid Management system efficiently manages the quotation process and is fully integrated with the Purchasing and Inventory systems. Bids are established either automatically, through the online interface to Purchasing, or manually, by direct entry. On-line quotation entry allows multiple bid types, including both telephone and formal bids. The buyer can then use a computer-assisted process to complete the bid definition and select appropriate vendors based on stock commodity codes, or on vendor types and categories. Bid tabulations include automatic generation of award notices and purchase orders to the selected vendor. Full vendor history, as well as extensive text-tracking files, are maintained throughout the bid process.
