Envision Series - AutoMap

AutoMap is a dedicated meta-data mapping and data conversion tool enabling legacy data definitions and data content to be converted into a relational database format used by Envision Series. AutoMap, uses Microsoft Access and ODBC to import data definitions and data content from ODBC compliant legacy databases. Alternatively, non ODBC-compliant legacy data can be imported from flat files. AutoMap allows to visually map legacy data field definitions into Envision Series' data model as it appears through Envision Series on-line transactions. Once the meta-data mapping is completed, AutoMap uses this mapping and the actual legacy data records to create transaction files to be processed by AutoConvert.

AutoConvert uses Envision Series application logic to validate legacy data; any mismatched data errors will be edited by the application logic and erroneous data will automatically be recycled through AutoMap. Erroneous data can be corrected within AutoMap and new transaction files created for submission through AutoConvert.
